Hope no one from here is in the path of Hurricane Harvey ... looks to have its aim on Texas ... I heard it has strengthened to a Cat 3 now. Let's hope it doesn't get any stronger than that...
Still here.... been out in west texas all week, finally headed back home.... no hurricane out here, just a little rain and alot of oil @rStock what part of north Tx?... i live near Ft Worth
our area is currently under a tornado watch 'till 10pm if we can get through tonight unscathed it's looking pretty nice around here for the long weekend!
Right on Im in a little town no one has heard of cause its not really a town... the closest actual town to me is Decatur Ive hauled a lot of fuel to Garland... not a fan of 635 traffic
Another major storm out in the Atlantic ... Hurricane Irma which was just upgraded to a Category 5 storm this morning packing winds of 175MPH with gusts of up to 200MPH. My uncle live in Boca Raton, which is essentially right in the path of the storm as of now ... albeit it still too early to tell now if that is where the storm takes direct aim, but a state of emergency has already been issue for Florida. Really hoping this is not another Hurricane Andrew all over again....
Just upgraded to 185MPH which is now evidently the strongest hurricane ever to be recorded in the Atlantic basin! The silver lining (if there's any in all of this?) is that when this storm reaches close to the US coast (Florida) it will have lost some of its punch ... but not much.
Smokezilla is back, and it's even worse than before. Overheard multiple stories of the skies snowing ash today. The good news is again it was supposed to be in the mid 90's today, and the smoke has helped prevent this!
