wondering if this plays out this year ... typically the markets tend to peak around the mid point of july and then go through a bit of a dip before ending the year higher for the santa claus rally
not sure if this was ever mentioned in here but evidently this is currently the longest the s&p hasn't endured a -5% dip from the highs in about 20 years here's a list of some of the longest streaks in history
nasdaq looking snap its 10-day win streak today ... however the day ain't over yet and as we have seen many a times it's usually in the 3pm hour that decides it ... and typically we've seen a ramp up into the close on friday's. and how's this for a fact: the spx on friday has closed higher 67% of the time so far in 2017. that would be the highest since it did 71% of the time in 1989.

wow crazy! looks like we do in fact now have a new daily streak record with consecutive closes below 10 ... and vix just narrowly missed closing at its lowest ever ... it even managed to close below the prior intraday low today
