TSMF wins the weekly poll tally for this week! Credit goes to the FLAT/UP votes!

    Notes/Guidelines:
    1) For purpose of the spreadsheet record flat is currently based on +/-0.50% or less. Of course, everyone can define flat any way they choose.
    2) Up, Flat, or Down must be clearly specified in a post in order to be listed in the spreadsheet, otherwise it'll be assumed that post was not intended to be a part of the official record.
    3) Because of the poll expiration at Sunday midnight GMT time zone, (Sunday 4pm PST / 7pm EST) I manually close the poll around 9pm - midnight in PST, or before I go to bed. You may notice the poll says to expire on Monday, but it does not. It will expire on Sunday the date that is in this post.4 pm PST / 7pm EST is just a bit too early and I want to give as much possible time for everyone to get a chance to vote.
    4) You may notice that some members have monthly and quarterly statistics in the spreadsheet. I add these based on at the start of the month or quarter taking into account past consistent voter-ship.
    5) It's OK to post your vote if you missed the deadline after the poll has expired and if the market has not really moved that much or especially if your late vote is opposite or flat of the S&P futures ATM. It will be up to my discretion and obviously, the more active voters will be given more leeway.
    6) Starting and ending points based on official close of the market Friday.
    7) The primary goal of this game is to track our performance. You can consider it a contest or as a personal critiquing tool to better ones performance

I'm voting up this week too. I think we see a quick spike up before a sell off. And the sell off I'm expecting to come either this month or next.

A lot of break outs failed last week, and a lot of momentum names completely broke down. I should probably be a down vote too this week but the spy is holding pretty strong.

edit: btw @Baggi whatcha think about this week's image? i know you were saying on last week's thread that my image game needed some stepping up haha :p ... hopefully this week's is a bit improved lol

    DOWN

that is some wicked divergence between the djia and djta ... completely going in the opposite directions o_O

for now that hasn't materialized into any meaningful pullback for the overall market, but i honestly don't know how long these divergences can last until it finally gives in

my hunch is that it will correct to the downside ... we haven't had any real market pullback all year long ... the month of august is notorious for some squirrely action ... we'll see if that eventually comes to fruition or not ... and i think it could finally begin this upcoming week! :p

Going with FLAT, still say we get to see 2,750 or really darn close, hey we still have almost 5 months. The numbers are adding up.

My exact thoughts, seems like the sellers are milking the last dime and the new buyers are licking their chops wanting in. Cash in the bank pays nearly nothing, but to those that believe in the numbers there are still some bargains out there. Good solid dividend payers.Amazing we haven't seen a decent correction yet.

@Timbo well, I got wrecked last week. So....I felt a dip. Heavy in tech obviously. The rest ofthe market might follow suit, but I think that's about it for the tech dip. Buying back in on many of my key targets though.

Although, I wouldn't even call that a correction...
