hey @tbw875 just wondering if you're still experiencing this issue from yesterday? and if you are is it occurring on all 3 of those top level domains? i know you said it only took about a second until it loaded through but i put site speed as top priority for this place ... so even a 1 second delay is no good for me and i would need to have this corrected asap. let me know!
It was only happening on my home desktop, so it could have been a fluke. I was watching the network feed and didn't see anything out of place...I'm just curious how the redirection works. I don't think it's a problem. I submitted the site for review on Sophos today. Should be 5 biz days for response.
sounds good @tbw875 keep us posted with how that all goes! also just out of curiosity here which top level domain are you guys using to get to this site? www.TheStockMarketForums.com www.StockMarketForums.net www.StockMarketBoards.com obviously all 3 of those point to here but i'm just wondering which one you guys use most i don't plan to get rid of any of these or anything because it's possible someone out there who may be looking for a trading community might just type in one of those domain names (especially the bottom 2) on their web browser and land themselves here. just sayin' you never know. we had some good traffic come through earlier this morning when i published the morning movers thread ... i had the link posted on twitter, stocktwits and reddit (r/stocks). i'll see if i can try it again tomorrow.
hmm ... have an idea here ... how about instead of linking to the current week's contest spreadsheet i would instead just link to the list of weekly challenge winners spreadsheet and their winning picks? so i would call the tab "2017 WEEKLY CONTEST WINNERS"? i'm going to play around with it momentarily and see how it looks/works ... will report back here when done
okay so i'm not too sure how many of you guys would find this useful but i just added a "quick chart" widget to the front page (located right underneath the discord chat box). this would be good for those who want to pull up the live charts instantly w/o having to go through the "live charts" link at the top of the page. now you you guys can quickly access live charts on the site right from the front page.
so i've been messing around with the front page a bit more tonight ... i added a few other things in there like a twitter feed for the site, and little market sector heat map on the left ... is it looking a little too busy for you guys? i want to make sure it isn't getting overwhelming, especially for the newcomers out there ... if it is let me know and i'll put things back the way they were before ... just trying out different things to make this site look and feel somewhat different than the other place
I like the content, but it does look a little busy. Does it look good on the right side? Also, I play pubg too much.
if someone could do me this quick favor and simply take a screenshot of the home page and have it posted in here ... i'm just curious to see how that is looking for the others ... you guys might have noticed that i went ahead and filled in the empty spaces on the sides so the page width should be filling in your screen now ... i think i like it better this way than how it was setup before what do you guys think? this also helps with the front page layout as well as it's not compressing the latest threads section ... anyway if someone could take a screen capture from their computer and have it posted in here that'd be much appreciated. thx!

new mobile browsing style has just been created for you mobile users! so i was just alerted from @tbw875 that the front page was nearly non-functioning from his mobile device earlier today largely due to all of the page widgets i've been putting up of late. it's mostly fine on a web browsing on your computer ... but from mobile it is nearly impossible to browse the front page. thus, i just went ahead and created a style just for mobile devices. here is how to set your style to this newly mobile browsing style. at the very bottom of the page here you will see something that looks like this- click on that and this box pops up- click on "mobile browsing" and viola! you should now have a bit easier time browsing the front page from your mobile devices (i hope) kind of like how when i first launched this site w/o any of the page widgets! let me know how this goes for those of you trying on mobile. thx!
okay so i just realized that my screenshot that i posted above was already set to the new style so you guys were already seeing the "Mobile Browsing" button there...what you guys are initially seeing is the style named UI.X that is the regular (computer) version for the site. all that you guys who are on mobile will need to do is hit that button down there and then follow the 2nd step that i had posted above and that should bring you guys the mobile version of the site ... i really ought to re-name this new style something like "TSMF Lite" since all that's different in this new style set is that none of the page widgets are visible on the front page on that style. anyway, i'm really curious to hear how this all works out for you guys on mobile! is it a little easier browsing the front page at all? let me know!
tagging 3 of our mobile users here in case you guys missed my above posts: @Timbo @Jrich @tbw875 just wondering if that new style set helped at all with browsing the boards or made no difference at all? i really want this to be the most pleasant browsing experience for you guys. if browsing the boards (in particular the front page) is nearly impossible for you mobile users then that needs to get fixed pronto. it's worth noting that i did test this out myself from my phone and tablet and it seemed to work pretty good, but i won't know for sure unless i hear it from the others as well.
