Well, any stock can be 3500 tonight and 2500 tomorrow... BTC is just more volatile than others. Oh also realize that "1 coin" is arbitrary. It's not like shares, you can own partial coins. Interesting that you say the wallet can be hacked/stolen. It's actually physically impossible to hack a SHA-256 generated wallet. Brute force would take something on the order of thousands to hundreds of thousands of years (Not sure of the magnitude, could be off....but is certainly beyond our lifetimes). However, I was a victim of the great hack of Summer '16, where I lost something like all 3 of my coins. Bought them at $400. Would have been a killing. The reason I lost money was not because of bitcoin itself, but because I had it stored through a centralized third party: Bitfinex. Because they were hacked, my coins were stolen. It had nothing to do with brute forcing the hash, but rather reinforces the fact that introducing third parties to the system opens a window of vulnerability. If I had owned my own wallet keys, I would have been safe. The problem is liquidity, since literally trading coins in the back alleys of Seattle isn't the smartest or easiest thing to do. And I hope you guys realize I'm just playing devil's advocate. I don't think I'll buy any BTC anytime soon, but discussing the subject, and watching the charts is interesting. I'd rather have a less volatile security. But I did call that rising wedge

https://cointelegraph.com/news/inve...m-stocks-as-new-bitcoin-crypto-options-appear Its coming, personally don't see it going away. I'm holding mine and plan to add on the pullbacks.
@Timbo that's a pretty solid double-top at 45. Higher lows though, so it looks good going into next week. Thoughts? Where does your TA/FA tell you it will go next week?
I don't use charts for the most part, never have and probably never will. This account is buy and hold, traded it a few times but should have let it be. Just going to hold n see, might add some more cash and buy on pullbacks. LTC is blowing my mind, lol, should have held. Long term these 3 have a ton of potential.
BTC hit $4,600 another milestone accomplised. ETH hit $365 LTC holding in the $60"s after a huge surge.
Wow that's a hell of a red candle on the 4h chart. Looks like strong resistance at 4650. Still looks like it's following my original rising wedge from the 1800 low on 7/16.
